What if I can’t relax to hypnosis?It’s natural for our analytical minds to hesitate when it comes too slowing or shifting focus, however rest assured this is completely normal. If you can follow gentle instructions you can experience successful hypnosis sessions.

What will it feel like?Hypnosis is a state of mind that varies from person to person and can be subtle. It’s essential to note that for hypnosis to be effective, none of these sensations need to be present. It may have a feeling of a deep sense of relaxation, calmness, and heighten focus with increased awareness on one’s thoughts and sensations. These experiences can differ significantly among individuals.

Is it sleep and will I be able to remember what happens during the session?It is not sleep. If you ever hear me use the word sleep during our sessions, it just means go deeply relaxed as if you were asleep with your eyes closed. If you happen to fall asleep during the session, I would promptly awaken you to resume our work. Otherwise, it would essentially amount to a pricey nap. You’ll recall everything. Throughout the session, you’ll remain fully conscious and aware. You’ll hear and retain all that’s said- both by me and by yourself. While brief moments of distraction may occur, your focus will quickly return.

How long are sessions?Typically sessions run for 90 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?Generally, I collaborate with clients for 6 sessions.

Will I not wake up or become stuck in hypnosis?Absolutely not. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state of mind. You have the ability to emerge from hypnosis whenever you choose or if external factors demanded it. Even in deep relaxation you would naturally emerge on your own or waken by me.

Can I be hypnotized?Absolutely. We experience hypnosis in various forms in our daily lives, from the moments between sleep and wakefulness to instances like highway hypnosis, where time distorts and memory fades, leaving us wondering if we missed our exit or how we got to our exit. If you can follow instructions you can experience successful, hypnosis sessions, especially when you’re ready to embrace change, growth and healing.

Is Hypnosis Mind Control, Truth Serum or can I lose control?No. You’re always in complete control. You won’t be compelled to do anything against your will or disclose any secrets you wish to keep private. I will not have access to any thoughts or your subconscious mind unless you choose to share or describe them with me. It’s a state of heightened focus and suggestibility where you’re still in control.

How does hypnosis work?Hypnosis helps rewire our thinking by getting past the overthinking (analytical mind) part of our brain. It allows us to plant positive, healthy and beneficial suggestions directly into our subconscious, without our usual doubts getting in the way. They are embraced and accepted by the subconscious which means we can make the changes we want more easily and see some big shifts and results in our lives. Despite absorption, you remain fully conscious and in control, much like when guided by a professional hypnotist into a hypnotic state.
